Eco Club
Our Eco Club members have been working hard to make a positive difference to our school environment. Our club is made up of two pupils from each year group, from Year 3 to Year 6, allowing children across the school to share their ideas, work together and take responsibility for creating a greener school.

We are currently working towards achieving the Bronze Eco-Schools Award, with the pupils showing great enthusiasm and commitment to making our school a more environmentally friendly place.
The children have worked collaboratively to create an action plan, identifying a range of activities they can complete to earn points and work towards the Platinum Award. Through this process, they are developing their understanding of sustainability and exploring practical ways to care for our planet.
As part of our action plan, we are looking forward to completing a range of activities from the Woodland Trust website UK's Largest Woodland Conservation Charity - Woodland Trust. These include presenting the work of the Woodland Trust, finding ways to reduce our school's waste, celebrating trees and sharing our enthusiasm for the natural world. We also plan to explore the importance of trees through our reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream, creating an exciting cross-curricular link between environmental awareness and English. These activities will help pupils understand the importance of protecting our environment while developing their knowledge and appreciation of the natural world.

The pupils have also had the opportunity to work in our Forest School area of the playground, where they have collaborated to complete a variety of activities. These sessions have encouraged teamwork, problem-solving and a shared responsibility for looking after our outdoor environment.

We are very proud of the pupils' enthusiasm and the positive steps they are taking to make a difference. We look forward to seeing what our Eco Club achieves as we continue our journey towards a more sustainable school!
