Holy Family Catholic Primary School

Our School

Holy Family is a Catholic Voluntary-Aided Primary School catering for pupils aged 4-11 years.  In our school we aim to provide a caring community in which each child can grow both academically and spiritually. Although a Catholic school, we welcome  children of all faiths and of no faith and our Catholic Social Teaching values transcend all faiths as they encourage children to make the world a better place. The curriculum we provide is rich and vibrant with the social teaching of the church at the heart of all we do.  We aim to develop curiosity, knowledge, understanding, self-belief, resilience, problem-solving, collaborative working and excellent communication skills.

We believe that parental involvement in the process is crucial and will provide opportunities to keep all parents/carers informed of their child's progress.  We are keen to encourage parental involvement in school life because we believe that a close home/school partnership is critical to the success of the school.  Parents are always made welcome in the school.  We are confident that your child's time at Holy Family will be a happy and fruitful one.

As a Catholic school we aim to develop our children's spiritual needs.  We believe that these needs are met within a community inspired by the teaching and life of Jesus Christ.  The staff within the school work towards each child's fulfilment, assessing individual needs and supporting them towards the realisation of their true potential.  We endeavour to ensure that all children acquire a high level of self-esteem, self-belief, an understanding of their own needs and the needs of others.

At Holy Family School the health and safety of all our children is of paramount importance.  Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish.  We, therefore, have to ensure that this expectation becomes reality and in order to do this a wide range of measures have been put in place.  Full details are in our Safeguarding Policy.
