The Calming of The Storm
During Art Week, we looked at the painting 'A Shipwreck in Stormy Seas' by Claude-Joseph Vernet. We made links to this in RE when we learnt the story 'Jesus Calms the Storm' (Mark 4: 35–41):
Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and the waves to stop. He said, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind stopped, and the lake became calm.
We practised mixing paints to create stormy sea colours as we reflected on the story and what it means to Catholic people.
