Changing Me Liturgical Prayer
Our Chaplaincy team introduced this term's Jigsaw 'Puzzle' - Changing Me in a whole school assembly. They told us...
In Jigsaw this term, we are learning about Changing Me. All of the images that we saw, shared people of different ages. Through this term, we will be thinking about growing up and the changes that brings.
We listened to a reading from the Bible which references changes. It is a letter from St Paul to the Corinthians 13:11-13.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall understand fully, even as I have been fully understood. So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
St Paul tells us that as we grow and change we understand more and will have a greater understanding about God and the world, but more importantly of faith, hope and love, which will make us disciples of God and live in his footsteps.
