Year 5 went on a retreat for their two night residential this year in December.
They attended an Advent Retreat at Kintbury. Kintbury is a religious retreat centre for young people to have a break from everyday life, to reflect and have fun!
This is the first time in many years that children have had the opportunity to visit Kintbury and we really enjoyed taking the children here.

It was such an enjoyable 3 days away with Year 5.

The children were incredibly respectful and enthusiastic in all of the activities - they’ve even managed to make their beds and tidy their rooms on the first night!

The days were fun-filled. The children reflected on what’s at their ‘centre’ e.g. kindness and completed some craft activities to show this. They also took part in some meditation, explored the grounds with a long walk and then played some fun games followed by a quiz! Some children even had to be wrapped up as presents!
To finish the day, the children took part in a ‘Walk to Bethlehem’.
