We have been exploring Black History Month this week in school. In Reception, we learned about Marcus Rashford and the amazing work he did in campaigning for free school meals during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and Mae Jemison who - despite often being treated unfairly due to the colour of her skin and because she was a woman - worked incredibly hard to pursue her dreams and on September 16th 1992 became the first Black woman to go to space.
