When the Chaplaincy Team led our Celebration of the Word this week, they asked us to reflect on the Bible story 'The Feeding of The Five Thousand'. They asked, "Why did the disciples share the food?"... "What were the people's rights? What were their responsibilities?"

The people had a right to food. They had a right to a fair share. The disciples had a responsibility to give to the people what Jesus had given them. When God gives to us, we are to share faithfully with others.

We know that some people have what they need, but many people don’t. Jesus wants the people who already have what they need to help these others. Jesus wants us to take care of this.

We each wrote down a right and a responsibility we have and then thought about how we will show responsibility at home and at school this week.
