Victorian Day
We had a fantastic Victorian creative day in class. All the children dressed up in Victorian costume and we were engaged throughout the day, with so many brilliant Victorian activities. We even had Victorian music hall music for accompaniment. We all made a pomander, a clove scented orange which has given the classroom a lovely fragrance. We decorated a shell box, using shells that we had collected from llansteffan. We made lovely gingerbread biscuits. Some of the children made a peg doll, others tried their hands at cross stitching sampling whilst others created a William Morris design. We also coffee stained our Victorian ‘mugshots,’ so we all looked like real street urchins.
